November 10 TRUE NORTH NetworkShhh. I've quietly launched TRUE NORTH Network. Visit www.TrueNorthNet.net and stay tuned for details in the New Year. September 05 College Football Rules! Oregon Ducks No. 14 in U.S.College football is my favorite sport because everyone is so passionate about their team. My team is the Oregon Ducks, who are currently ranked No. 14 in the nation according to Sports Illustrated. As any Pac-10 college football fan can tell you, it's a tough league where anything can happen and before the season is over it usually does. But so far, so good. The Oregon Ducks' 44-10 victory earned their fifth consecutive win against the rival Washington Huskies on Saturday. August 20 Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers ConcertTom Petty and the Heartbreakers rocked the Gorge in George, WA on Saturday night with one of the best performances I've seen from them in years. Petty opened with You Wreck Me and a set list that featured favorites including I Won't Back Down, Even the Losers, Free Fallin', Mary Jane, Breakdown, Rebels, Face in the Crowd, Learning to Fly, Don't Come Around Here No More and Refugee. The encore featured Runnin' Down a Dream, Gloria and American Girl.
We managed to score seats in the 14th row which were awesome. Check out pictures from the concert here. August 13 My Favorite Olympic Moment and a French Lesson!American Heroes: Cullen Jones, Jason Lezak, Michael Phelps and Garrett Weber-Gale broke the world record (3:08:24) with their relentless passion for excellence and an Olympic Gold medal victory in the 4x100 free relay in Beijing. Their actions forever drowned out the narcissistic smack talk of Frenchman Alain Bernard who said the French would "smash" the American's in the event. It was sweet irony that Bernard, the 100m world record holder who anchored the French team, would be beat by Jason Lezak's super human come-from-behind performance - 46:06 - the fastest 100-meter relay split in world history, beating Bernard's by 0.67 seconds, enabling the USA to win by 8/100ths of a second. Smashing!!
